Tonight I was watching some Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds videos with my wife, and suddenly got the urge:

These don't usually work out this well on the first try. Then again, Cave's face is a bit easier than most. I might as well be bragging at having drawn Groucho Marx.
Nice charicature. I enjoyed meeting you and attending your sessions at SCBWI/Seattle. Thanks for making the trek to the Northwest. You certainly sizzled a lot of artists' and writers' brains. I mean that in a good way. A bacon way.
ReplyDeleteGreat sketch! (well, as far as I know :)...now I need to google Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds!!! I'm off to check them out!)
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome, I love the expression. What's the size of this little sketch anyway?
ReplyDeleteThanks, guys.
ReplyDeleteIt's about 4 inches tall, Eric.
"They have Nick Cave dolls now? Ooh, I want one!" -- Bongwater
ReplyDeleteI thought you couldn't be any more awesome, and then I saw Nick Cave.
ReplyDeleteMy life is complete.
Dude, I want this!!!!
ReplyDeleteNick Cave and your rendering of him are awesome! Ever see Gris Grimly's Nick Cave portraits? His depiction of "Red Right Hand" is pretty epic.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you can draw Nick Cave, you can draw that guy who played Agent Smith in "The Matrix", it's weird how their features are fairly similar, must be an Aussie thing! I hope all is well in AZ!!
