Book Recommendation

Last night I finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, the seventh and last book from a series by a Mr. J. Rowling. They follow the adventures of an English boy wizard at magic school. I recommend the whole series to anyone interested in stories about magic, boys, schools, or England. They were originally published in Great Britain but you can get them here, too.

I just finished the "Godric's Hollow" chapter and I love the scene where Harry kills Hermione and Ron, right before he joins up with Vader and destroys Hogwarts with a well-aimed photon torpedo right down the middle.
(No really, if you tell the ending I will kill you.)

you FINISHED??? wow...just getting out of shell cottage, here. we bought 2 copies, and one was finished in a mere 2 days! but i don't want it to end that quickly, so...i've been ditching out on it, although that is proving to be a hard thing to do. I love mary d's chapter head illios, so unsung in these books.

There is much more gray this time, to these characters she has developed, than in any of the first books. buttttt adam, if someone said to you, WHAT AGE a kid should be to read THIS one, what would you say? this is by far, the darkest of the books, and frankly written more for us, than for them, in spots. since you write and illustrate for children, where do you think the boundaries should be?

or, should there be no boundaries at all, as if you have read everything up to this, and you are 7-9, you can handle what's in this one. wondering what you think. :)

I bought this one on both audio and print, so I could listen to it while painting. So it only took two long work days to finish.

I have no idea how old a kid should be to read this. My gut says eleven or so. You there, Brian? Is Wilson reading the books?
