The zoo is such a fun place to go and draw. I think I need to make another trip there soon. BTW, I'm not sure if this was your intention (maybe it was subconscious), but you really captured the sadness that seems to haunt the face of that poor Indian elephant.
These are awesome, haha i dunno if the written explanations were necessary though you draw pretty great there's not much to figure out. annnnd you just made me want to do more Bronx zoo drawings :)

Great sketches, I love the tortoise. That's an interesting idea to sketch in graphite then ink, best of both worlds.
Other way around actually, Chris. I drew in pen and then added some graphite halftone to a couple of the pieces.
I'm all about the pig.
