Hi Adam, thats one tough looking flower. Perhaps he got that way because everyone assumes that all flowers are girls, so he had to develop a wise guy attitude. I wanted to thank and congratulate you on your wonderfull art, it really inspires me, to draw better, and to have fun with what I do. Sometimes I forget to have fun, and thats when drawing becomes difficult.
Have you ever read Eric Idle's retelling of Edward Lear's "The Owl and the Pussycat?" Chrysanthemitch could be a character in that book. There is a Professor Bosh who has a collection of plants that inculdes the Manypeeplia Upsidownia (looks like a lily of the valley but with people instead of flowers hanging off it) and the Armcharia Comfortabilis, which looks like a regular lily but with an arm chair instead of a flower...

I saw your book at Barnes and Nobles and it looks fantastic. I like the interior illustrations a lot.
Thanks, guys!
And glad to hear you saw it at B&N, Shawn.
Hey, I loved the character so I wrote a bit of a story on my blog, here. Hope you like it or at least don't mind.
