MONSTERS!

Here's a look at the busts I sculpted to use as models for my story collection, FRANKENSTEIN MAKES A SANDWICH. From left to right: the Phantom of the Opera, Frankenstein, and my zombies Zorba and Zeus. These were made with Sculpey and various other materials, and painted with acrylics. Frank's sweater is the toe of an old gym sock.

Hey Adam!
Congrats on "Sandwich." The book is wonderful. (My children can't stop reciting it.) We got it in the mail yesterday after the librarian said we'd need to let other kids have a chance with it.

I saw this photo of your sculptures on Kelly's blog interview with you and was pleased to see it. I currently have clay bears that I'm using for my work in progress. I admire your work and I'm eager to hear more about your works in progress. More illustration, poetry , both?

Hi Anna! Nice work over at your site.
I have a picture book and an illustrated novel coming out this fall from Harcourt and Hyperion, respectively. I'll be posting stuff from both books here and on my main portfolio site in the coming months, so I hope you'll check in now and then.

I'm also writing new monster poems. We'll see how that goes.
