Robert's Snow

I'm proud once again to create an original, snowflake-shaped painting for The Jimmy Fund and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The snowflake, and many others decorated by fellow kid's book creators, will be auctioned online to raise money for cancer research this fall. I'll post this again when the auction is underway in November, but here's a preview:

Amazing as usual, Mr. Rex!

Thanks, everyone. Hope somebody bids on it, if only to help the charity if not my self-esteem.

Thanks so much for helping out again with Robert's Snow 2007. I hope we raise even more money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute with this year's auction. I am the proud owner of eight snowflakes. My daughter got a snowflake as a Christmas gift in 2005.

By the way, I love your snowflake!

Wow, eight snowflakes! You're MY hero.

Glad I found your snowflake! Looks great! I added it to the "Behind the Snowflakes" post I've got going. I put together a blog list of snowflake illustrators so people can get a sneak peek before the actions begins.

I want to be like Elaine, a snowflake collector. :)

That's awesome, Gail. Thanks! I hope to buy my first snowflake this year as well. It'll be hard to decide whose I want, though. And then even harder to actually win it, I suppose.
I saw that you posted the following recent news on your blog. I thought I'd post it here as well, before mentioning it again near the actual auction:

We are sad to say that Grace Lin's husband Robert passed away Monday, August 27th, 2007. If you would like to send your condolences, the best way to do so would be by donating in Robert's memory via the Jimmy Fund, and by supporting Robert's Snow for Cancer's Cure. Thank you for thinking of Grace in this very difficult and sad time.
